Who Am I?
Over the past 20 years, Becky Davenport has provided strategic planning, marketing, fundraising, and business development services to privately-held companies, non-profits, and early stage businesses.
She was instrumental in developing and executing the strategic business plan for Wayne State University’s business development project, TechTown, which also received funding and support from Henry Ford Health Systems, General Motors, and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. Becky launched another successful entrepreneurial program, Frontline Accelerator for Science and Technology, which accelerated the commercialization of opportunities found in life sciences, alternative energy, advanced manufacturing and homeland security.
Prior to starting her consulting practice, Becky spent 15 years in global account sales and marketing at AT&T. As a leading innovation expert, Becky currently teaches a class on entrepreneurship designed for formerly incarcerated individuals and funded by a City of Chicago grant in collaboration with DePaul University, SAFER Foundation and Accion Chicago. She also mentors students at the Coleman Entrepreneurship Center at DePaul University.
Becky received her M.B.A. in Marketing from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a B.S. in Clothing and Textiles from the University of Texas at Austin.
